This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless” 2 Samuel 22: 33.

But how does God make our way blameless? Does He just put it on us without any effort on our part? Or do we have a part to play in the process? According to James 1: 2-4 we should be happy about trials because of the integral role they play in this process.

Perseverance Produces Character

This is why we should “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” James 1: 2-4.

It’s by trials that test our faith that we gain endurance or strength or steadfastness. And this ultimately makes us blameless or perfect and complete.

God doesn’t just put strength on us. Just as we have to work out to gain physical strength, in the same way we develop mental fortitude as we go through trials without losing faith in His word.

We become blameless as we progressively gain strength in every weak area.

Love is Perfection

And we become blameless as we continue to believe God has plans of “welfare” for us in the midst of what looks like “evil”(Jeremiah 29: 11).

This faith produces hope, hope love and love IS perfection or blamelessness.
